Default Mustang aod and custom billit converter

I will be selling the aod tranny out of my 89 mustang gt in 2 weeks. It was suppossedly rebuilt with a shift kit around 5000 miles ago.. Not sure though. I did have rodeheavers performance put a new pan seal on it. I also had them install a custom billet 3000 stall converter. I will sell the tranny and conv together for $600.. Or the tranny for$250 and the conv for $450.. The conv has less than 100 miles on it!!! I have decided to do the t-5 swap!

That is a smokin deal on that converter. I just built the thing I can't believe he is selling it so soon. You can find that converter on my website under stock shaft 9.5 inch in the aod converter section.

I loved it!!!! Just decided to do the T-5 swap... Wish I had 2 foxes, and kept that convertor in 1 of them.. It was amazing what it did for the car...

I suppose, personally you couldn't talk me into swapping a t5 into anything. If it were a decent manual transmission it might be different. Was it too fast for you or something The thrill of wondering what would break missing?

Too fast? Not even close enough! I personally think the aod tranny is a pc of sh!t compared to the 5speed!

So you need me to come have my way with it then. I personally cannot stand t5 transmissions. When properly configured the aod will outperform the t5 on every level. The only advantage to the t5 is manual control allowing you to make the car slower than it could be.

Well Alan,
You are the expert.. My fox is a built street car, not for the track. I had it done the way I wanted it for the enjoyment of the car. Not necessarily for top performance! Since the AOD is such an awesome tranny, mine should sell quick at that price! Especially since it has one of your bad a$$ converters in it!!!
