I have a super nice 69 chevelle in the shop for some tuning. It has a 545 BBC, dart block, brodex heads, 10:1, 850 Demon,all the goodies. It belongs to Jason(CrazyLou's brother). It put down 515hp/595tq.

Absolutely stunning.

and it has a boat load of torque.

LOVE IT....did you check vacuum at WOT? Carb seems a little small for that much power.

i had 850 demon made over 600 wheel?? i never had a problem

the carb is a little small, but it makes it nice and snappy for the street. I didnt check it but i can bet you its pulling some.....

for that power that carb is fine is my point, unless its just a straight up drag car,
as tim said it makes it more snappy with a little bit of a smaller carb

How do you know it's not a restriction unless you actually measure it, or swap carbs and see how a larger carb responds?


Did you make 600rwhp N/A with an 850 demon?
