I hate the way the engine bay looks. I do not like chrome and everything to be polished. brushed aluminum is ok, but not chrome. with that said, I am completely stuck as far as what color AND finsh combo to powder coat my engine bay in. I'm planning on smoothing the engine bay and tucking the wires. deleting the windshield wash reservior, moving the fuse box to the inner fender etc etc. the front pulley brackets will be the march front accessory brackets(not the over the top ones, just the real simple billet ones) so if it were your car what color and finish would you do. including intake, valve covers, air intake, front pulleys, front accessories, etc etc

Those aluminum valve covers look pretty sick! See how you feel like that will fit into your scheme, if it does... well, you know what to do! I think they look money just sittin there!

My opinion is Silver Vein.

I've never seen anything like that before, that's pretty cool - although I'm torn on what I think it might look like in the engine bay to dress it up. I'm a fan of having an engine bay that has some pop to it, regardless of how sinister the rest of the car looks, so the silver vein would be hit or miss for me.

I was talking to miguel via smoke signals yesterday and was mentioning that a metallic silver paint similar in color/brightness/etc to brush aluminum might look good and bring some OEM+ looking highlights to the engine bay. One thing is for certain.. gotta make sure everything is color coordinated & planned out. Too much of one color will make it look overdone, but the right amount of color accents can really set it off

My power pipe is powder coated in silver vein. The only difference is that the scale of the "vein" is smaller. I think the vein is formed by some sort of reaction between two parts of a mixture so there's probably some variation from one powder coater to the next, so doing everything at once is necessary.
