Hey guys, i am looking around for some headlights for my jetta because i went to adjust the pass side and the adjuster fell apart... It is a 2001 jetta gl. I want something that looks a little custom but subtle in the same note.

The E-Codes you mean?

quick ebay search for ya since nobody posted up any answers. They take a different bulb (H4) than the factory headlight in the USDM I believe.

Lol I just bought a 2000 Jetta 5spd. 2.0. So, I can save miles on the Big D. Loking at a couple sets of wheels I located gotta try a set of 17's to see if the bolt pattern is correct. Headlights could be next so Subscribed lol.

Hidalgo, the wheels for your jetta are 5x100, and you'll probably be looking for offsets between 25 and 40 for an 8" wide wheel, the lower the number the better IMO. stock are generally marked on the rear of the wheel somewhere, so pull it off and break out the measuring stick to see how much farther out you want it to go. stock centerbore is 57.1 mm.

Stock wheel bolts are 14x1.5x28 (wire size x thread pitch x length). Longer wheel bolts will be need with the use of adaptors or spacers. For example, if you add a 10mm spacers, then you'll need (28+10) 38mm bolts. There are also two types of wheel bolts. Ball seat, which are somewhat rounded. Conical seat is mostly used with aftermarket wheels. You MUST use the right type for your wheel or they will come loose or even worse completely off.

Thanks, The wheels I am looking at came off a 2003 "He Thinks" and mines a 2000. My boss says they changed bolt patteren in "04" he thinks lol. The ones I am looking at have 225/45r17's on them. I'll be sure to hit ya up as this is a whole new world lol. Now I just need a 6 foot wing. "Kidding" Would mind doing a few things to make it look a bit better. It's silver.
