can anybody tell me about old chevy trannys. I am trying to find a tranny for the 66 chevelle in the shop and i think it has a saganaw or a borg warner t-10 tranny in it now, i am going to take it to the tranny shop tomorrow so they can identifiy it for me. What i need to know is, if its a saganaw or a t-10, will a richmond t-10 bolt right into place??? i know the shifters are different but we are getting a new hurst shifter for the new tranny anyways.

Don't know the answer to your question, but you can measure the tranny to bell bolt patterns and measure the input shaft of each. If they're the same, you have a winner. (aside from spline counts and pilot brg ID of course)
