they really dont like salvage plates, but we have had people sneak in with em... if its a car or truck that looks more family like that then yes i think you could slided right by the techs... or get there at 11:30 before anyone else and i will let you in.

I ended up losing after 3-4 rounds in to the street challengers to a ls1 camaro with heads, cam and 150 shot of Nitrous. He crushed me off the line but I actually think I was gaining on him at the big end.

Now I need a bunch of suspension stuff, along with a shifter, and WOT box.

I didn't spin any worth noticing the first run and built a lil to much boost I think the second time. That and just as I pulled to the water box he dumped a couple buckets lol. I know I should try it in 4wheel Just afraid of breaking to much $$$$. Maybe next time I'll give it a shot. Then Mater can come haul it if I break it lol.

I was down for the first time and had a blast guys!

Tim, thanks for letting everyone use the tent to get out of the sun and the drinks. I will defiantly be back down. I think I might be getting all the bugs worked out of the car and had fun driving it. (I will mess with the 2-step later) The clutch worked like a champ and I was slamming every gear without an issue. The clutch adjustment is a bit tricky but thank the speed gods I am getting the hang of it.


I will be signing up for street contender next time!

I had the worst standin still burnout session I ever had! Leaft the traction control on since I got the abs light fixed, experimentin with the second gear ones since I did the 4:10's. Stalled it like 3 times, boy was I PO'd and embarressed! Goin back to my simple first gear routine and maybe invest in some line lok!

Hes an aquaintance of mine out of Morgantown. I know the car is WELL over 500 at the tires and he has been building it for years. The car is stout and he keeps finding the weak link and making that part handle his power level. I have seen it post up 10 sec times at PRP.

650hp at the crank or wheels? On the way home we passed him and all I got was a dirty look. Not sure what that was about. If he can learn to roll into it or find the proper traction I am sure that thing would be a runner. I thought he was going to wreck it on one of the passes right after I said "I want to run that car" which I quickly took back. lol

Next time I hope to get a few good races in (nothing against the people I ran doing shake downs)...just need a little help finding the cars to run.

I love the fact you can go to these races and really drive your car. In my opinion you gain more knowledge of your car and what it can/cant do. I really get a new sense of understanding of what my car can do when I dont have total control or it... It may be a little dangerous when I try to go balls out with my car at these events but I think it will help me if I get loose at the track. Now I will have more control over the car...
