why did you take the motor out?

Well due to the heigth of the truck the tranny jack wasnt going to work so well to do the clutch. Pretty much stripping the motor down to a shortblock anyhow since we are putting a cam in it. So that means the whole front of the motor has to come off.

well sir, i dont work at the prison anymore, which takes balls to do fyi....yes I do like miata's, they are cool as $$$$, and my T45 is sitting in my room. : )

Takes balls? Thought men had those or at least supposed to. ohh a t-45 zzzzzzz. Your slowly becoming a man, worked at a prison gonna drive a stick car. Yes, it is true your car isn't powered by a Cummins. Or it would be faster.
Think your stock shortblock could handle 600hp? and around 1100-1200 ft/lbs of torque lil boy? Hey don't forget it only took you 6 beers to get you wasted and there is no pictures of me and dildo's and goats so I will pass on your offer of wanting to f%^& me ok lol.
On a side note, did get the head off and cylinder walls look perfect even after 194k miles.

details on build/mods? any difference's in motor btw your body style 5.9 and the next bodystyle up that still had the 5.9

My motor is getting
O-ringed head
Arp Head studs
64/71/.80 S300 Turbo
200hp DDp Injectors
Southbend Dual disc 3600 Clutch
Tunnel Ram intake plate
Snow Stage 2 Water Meth kit
Street Cam and Springs Not sure of Hamilton or Haisley or Shied yet
Air Dog 2 150 Duel Filter fuel pump
Also getting my TSt box tunred into a Competition Version
Dual 6" Aussie stacks

As for the difference between my 5.9Vp44 motor and a Commonrail 5.9
The VP44 uses a Variable Preasure pump hence the Vp44.
The Commonrail is a step above. It uses a common rail to feed the injectors and a cp pump. Constant preasure. The common rail is a powerful motor. The new smarty tuner is about to be released for the common rail. It will unleash the motor to its full potential. 1000hp on #2 alone #2='s fuel. Dodge made the computer in the common rail a pain in the arse. Same as they do most their computers. Like Mine I have 2 boxes stacked in mine. I have a smarty programmed into the ecm and then I have the TSt ontop of that. If I was to buy another Diesel it would be a 5.9 Common rail. Your talking 700hp daily driver with ease. Not like some 6.0leaker ford.

600hp to the ground should be plenty for my truck. Oh hell if I was building a car clarkie wouldnt stand a chance. Come to think of it one might be in my near future lol.

After talking with ya about the lil stuff that bothered me with dodges, the commonrail has been looking pretty good in a 6spd as a tow rig

Cam was back ordered 2 weeks , exhaust housing for the turbo was another 2 weeks.

Ya not to bad hehe. Had to drive it home from Winchester,Va at max of 20 psi til I re-torqued the head this morning. Now I can take it to 40psi til the 1k mile mark where I change the oil to get rid of the break in lube from the cam. Then re-torque and push it even further. Can definetly smoke out the road behind me now and its a bit louder with the stacks.

Thanks, It did give me a lil surprise last nite merging onto 119. Was in 3rd and was tired of following this slow $$$ silver sunflower so soon as we came off the ramp i smacked on it and it walked sideways a bit on me. So wet roads can be a lil trucky it seems lol.

It sure sounds like a big rig coming. Though when you really jump on it they make a nice crack. I'll make it to one of timmy's events or car shows one of these days for people to hear it. Since I don't know how to do video's lol.

Ya one of my favorite years as well. Be nice if it was common rail injected but, I think I can make the VP work good enough for me. There is a local guy with a Vp truck pushing over 700hp. Granted he has a 3k$ Vp pump lol.

Well head studs retorqued not long ago box set on kill. Hits 52psi. Thought it would hit more. Went to try out the meth kit and wouldn't work. Switched some wires around got it to work in the driveway with a small burnout. Went to my parents for a bit had a nice open stretch on the way back flipped the switch and nothing. Got to the house lifted the hood and sure as $$$$ blew the $$$$ meth boost reference hose off. It was off earlier when I checked wires. $$$$ thing , gonna try some superglue on it and see what happens. Jeremy said that size boost leak might be good for 10 pounds of boost lol.
Other then that it runs $$$$ strong and in the process of getting an even bigger injection pump for it.

Well I broke something in the tranny last friday lol hit 5th and ripped on it and it went bang nursed it home. Hopefully gonna have it tore out this week and see what happened. Lots more plans for it this winter. Also curious if anyone knows someone really good at airbrushing?

Well opened up the tranny cover seen no broken gears poured out the fluid and oh boy did the teeth start pouring out. So I pulled the tail cover off and .... So much for 5th gear. So if you know anyone with a 5spd cummins havem pull their tail cover off and check 5th gearnut.

Nope, Still street driveable. Gonna have to drive it from pull to pull anyhow unless Mater wants to haul it around for me lol. It will be lower and rolling on 35's as well.

That's cool. It take the fun out of it if you cant drive it. It's the same way for show cars, how alot of people trailer them to shows. That's no fun. I might only drive my Bird mainly to shows but at least I do drive it. Althouth in your case as well as the guys that race it'll suck if something breaks.

Yea, especialy if i m,ake it to terra haute without breaking it before then. Be a long ride home in a tilt bead lol. Thats is where the big Shied Diesel event is at. I'm hoping to be in th mid to high 600hp range this year.

Thanks, Had the trans rebuilt with an updated mainshaft all new synchros and bearings and 2 new gears outback. Might being going bigger injectors too. They say my 200's aren't big enough to get me to 650 or higher.:st:
