C-500 getting Blown

WE have a super nice c-500 in for a super nice PAXTON intercooled S/C kit! this car has a ton of mods already and put down 301hp on the baseline run.

What all does it done now to have 300whp? Thats a lot of NA power.

Also made 336 torque which was surprising to me to be honest. I didn't think she had it in her.

wow, that thing is making some power. that is as much torque as I had with the noncooled supercharger.

I can't wait to see what it makes with the sc!

I cant wait for it to be done so I can hear it. I really wanted a Twin screw but I just couldn't afford it. And Procharger was my next choice but they are also high on price. But I am sure the Paxton will make me just as happy.

When I was looking at them I just thought about it like this: Any supercharger you put on the car can make enough power to blow the motor, and I don't want to go to a new shortblock so the vortech/paxton was fine.

I actually wanted a centri over a twin screw though, I like the feeling of boost coming on :madgrin:

I did see you blowing the doors off everything at the 1st flashlight drags this year. At least a 3v has a fighting chance with the sc lol

he will have better then a fighting chance. From what i seen from your car, those 3v's react good with blowers. I just hope one day i can feel some boost on the mach.

Got the car back yesterday and it sounds amazing! Thanks to Tim for helping me out on the mail in tune that was waaaaayyy off.

We loaded the tune and put it on the dyno just to check it. It put down 500tq and 470 hp at only 48xx RPM I believe. Which I thought was just plain Freaking nuts. Here to find out the timing was set at like 18. So after a lot of timing being taken out and alot of fuel being put in she put down 430 hp and 430 tq.

Its really rich and conservative, My gas mileage went to $$$$ and car is really gas smelly. But over all it is amazing thanks to Tim. I can't wait to get my Dyno tune so I can actually get on it!

wow, thats nuts. How much boost is it running? Do you know if it is the 3.4 pulley or the 3.48? My car has been getting insane gas mileage since it was tuned. It is almost as good as it was stock.

he has a very small pulley, and we have no idea of what the boost is because the gauge he got cam with the wrong parts, but on the dyno as soon as it got into open loop it went super rich, started to build tons of boost and went totally lean just as i was lifting. The kit he got came with a huge turbonetics intercooler that seems to be a awesome unit, i havent checked into to what it is exactly but it looks super efficient.
