now that my competition went snooping around Tim's shop yesterday, might as well tell everyone, the official plans for the overhaul is a heads cam intake 347 on a lil shot of nitrous.
I found out my heads were too big for the stock piston reliefs, so I decided to go with a 347 bottom end and hit it with a lil shot of nitrous. going with a high compression setup, just have to work out the details with tim.
cant wait to see what kind of numbers it makes

What size shot? Should be nasty. Any other parts specs like what heads/cam, how high of compression?

Heads are advertised as 190's, but tim said they are more like 205's, same specs as vic jrs, it will have a trick flow R intake,custom ground cam, 75 mm race tb, not sure on the shot or compression yet, I would think a 100 shot would get the job done with the combo, and as far as the compression, I would like it high, but still be able to run 93 octane

The 100 shot is a good starting point, changing that is only a mere swap of a nitrous jet away if you want more.

yep, Fordstrokers 347 with a Holley Systemax upper and lower, Anderson N61 cam and some other goodies. It's due to arrive at Tim's first week of May...it'll be close but Tim said we should be fine for getting the car to Carlisle. Gonna have Lasota retune the car to get the most out of it.

Congrats man.. Who is doing your cam? What kind of flow numbers did your heads do? you port match the intake to the heads?

thats how you learn things, and curiousity.. Someone may want to know how good those heads can flow since the price of them are so much cheaper than other heads in the pushrod market, therefore could save someone money if doing a budget build.. Someone doing a custom cam, maybe someone is wanting to get one and seeing where everyone is going and who they are using and what kind of results are being made can sway someone on the cam choice and matching the intake to the heads is almost a must when it comes to porting to get the most out of the port and if he didnt and puts up great numbers, it could save someone some money when putting a motor together.
