I'm getting ready to install a set of Autolite 103's.

I have a Vortech A-trim making about 5# of boost. The car sees boost maybe 15% of the time it's driven.

Most SC guys seem to run about a .032 gap + or - a thousandth or two. Being that my car is rarely into boost, should I run a wider gap ?

The car is getting a tune next month and will probably be around 8 - 10# of boost after a bigger crank pulley and Anderson powerpipe go on.

After it's tuned it will probably see boost a lot more than it does right now, as I'll have peace of mind that the timing, A/F, etc. is safe.

So......what should I gap the plugs to ?

I personally run .028 on my turbo DSM, lil bit of a different animal, but you definitely want the plug gap down pretty good to prevent blowout, no matter how often its in boost. IT will run fine with the plug opened up off boost, but that 15% of time your boosting it will potentially misfire.

Is there a down side to running that narrow of a gap N/A ?

.032 will be fine no matter if your in boost or not. make sure you run a plug one step cooler than stock.

Mine are at .032. They were at .045 and my car was blowing out spark like mad.
