Picked up my new carry gun. Slightly smaller then the previous carry gun. It is a 38 special Taurus Ultra-lite. Old had the tendency to smash the nuts when ya sat down lol.

Nice. I have a Charter Arms .38 special very similar to your Ultra lite. I put that on my ankle, so no nut smashing lol. Got a model 21 glock (.45 acp) to carry as well. Among others, but those are the ones I always have.

That's another thing on my want list. How hard is it to get a liscence to carry?

Its easy to get a permit to carry, provided you have a clean record. Just head down to the courthouse in Uniontown, if you live in Fayette county anyway. Go in the sheriffs office and tell them you want one, fill out some paper work, pay a fee, and that's it. Its like $30

And these permits aren't really so much to carry. You can walk down the street with a gun in plain sight without one. The permit is to conceal.

yep...

its $24 for paper copy and $29 for laminated wallet size. its good for 5 years.

takes about 15-20 minutes to fill out the paperwork. i got mine right there but i also walked in with the fayette county sheriff's son(friend of mine), usually takes bout 7-10 days.

now when you apply for a pistol,it takes bout 1/2hr. filling out paperwork, them calling the PSP for clearance/backround check.

Yup, got mine in u-town when I was living down there. Only takes a few minutes of paperwork, then the ladies have it for ya in no time. Course, ya gotta get your picture taken lol.
Rob, gladly let ya know. I dunno of any places in that area to shoot though. The place in youngwood is nice but a lil piece for you and Tim to drive. Indoor range and you can rent all kinda of handguns and on sundays you can event rent an ar-15 to shoot in there. A&S indoor pistol range. Think it has a total of 8 shooting lanes. UGH shooting day lol.

Don't have to join at all.

I can't remember the lane rates as it goes by time you want it. To rent a firearm (pistol) is 5 bucks but you must buy the ammo from them. The ar is 15 dolar rental fee.
