I know a lot of people hear that term and don't know that means. This weekend for the Memorial Bash, it's all box/no-box racing, instead of Trophy/Street/Mod/Top.
Box means a class that allows a delay box. A delay box is a piece of hardware in the car, where drivers can tailor the amount of delay before the transbrake releases. This allows them to react to the top bulb of the tree. If a top bulb racer is reacting slow, they will take some delay out of the box, and add some in if they are reacting fast and going red, or cutting it too close to red.
No-box means just that... you can run anything except a delay box. 2 steps, transbrakes, footbrake, etc, all run in this class, as everyone is leaving off the third amber, instead of the first.
