Yeah, Ford brought the power this time. The new 5.0 looks great, now a true 5 liter to boot.

The new 5.0 wont hold the boost like the 4.6. The compression Ratio is higher.
So if you want to throw boost at it your gonna have to forge the bottom end.

It will prob hold like 4-5 pounds.

you really thinking that low of boost? i mean i have no idea what the compression ratio even is for the car.

Evolution has theres doing a 10.88 with less mods and on drag radials

compression is 11:1..

The whipple kit runs 6-7 lbs on it and makes 600hp. I'm not sure on the details, but something about the dohc and variable valve timing lets you run more boost on a higher compression motor. I'm guessing they just open the exhaust valve earlier to help relieve pressure?

That's what I'm talking about. 6lbs of boost and making 600hp... I have an idea of what my next vehicle purchase might be.:evil:

From what I've read (not a lot) the rotating assembly is good for about 500 hp, Livernois found that one out I believe?

I think that boost on the coyote motor will make it look like an episode of Road Runner from the looney toons show haha boom!
