Has anyone ever done it before? I started installing it in my house yesterday, I got the carpet/backer all tore up, all the staples/nails removed, and laid down about 250 sq/ft with a manuel hammer for this type of wood and my right hand and back are KILLING me!!! I am going to attempt to do the rest or as much as possible tonight. I only have about 200 sq/ft to do then its all done.:crutch:

Never installed real hardwood. Just the cheapie snap together stuff in my house. If I had a fancier place the hardwood is the only way to go.

It's a nice job. Popular characteristic of solid wood flooring is the easiness of maintenance. Solid wood does not accumulate dust disparate other flooring methods, and so for families who endure with allergies the hardwood floor will be the perfect and it will lessen the indication of some allergies.
