Ok guys this is whats up. The motor combo I have now, once its done, will be pushing the power capabilities of the stock 302 block. Over this summer, I'm going to be collecting funds to do a new build in the winter and the two options I'm thinking are:

1. Dart SHP based 302 block
2. Stock 351w with forged rotating assembly

First off, THIS IS NOT A RACE CAR! It is a convertible that will be 80% street and 20% track. My power goals are around 500-550 rwhp. It will have an S trim and plan on no more than 6500rpm, and that will be very rare.

If I get a SHP, a stroker is a possibility but probably nothing major. If its the 351, I will leave as is.

Its never to early to start thinking and gathering ideas!

For the price of that dart block, I'd go with a Ford Racing Boss Block, good to about 1500hp. And cheaper.

If you only want 500 to 550rwhp i would def go with the statement above.. No sense in spending all that money on a dart block and not push it to its potential..

I vote Ford racing boss block based 302 pushed to a 331 with 12lbs with holley intake, TFS 185cc heads and a custom ground cam.
