Anyone know anyone who got one? They DD it? pros and cons? I know Brian from JJs has one and it is freaking sweet and sounds awesome.. I am starting to look at them for a DD soon.. Since im selling my dirtbike i will have no need for a truck anymore so it was down to a SS and a Jeep srt-8 and i cant justify a 10mpg on the HIGHWAY vehicle right now.. And the SS can haul a trailer and the srt-8 cant..

As for the rear question, the SS doesn't have the same one as regular Trailblazers. It has a 9.5" 14-bolt that is pretty much bullet proof from what everyone says. The transmission is the main potential weak link on the SS.
I got mine for a steal compared to those highest prices on Autotrader, and mine had 1,671 miles on it when I bought it :)

That price seems kinda steep for the silver one...looks like as base model as you can buy. No digital climate controls, no steering wheel controls, cloth seats, and the listing doesn't even say if it's awd or rwd. I'm guessing it's rwd since it's optioned pretty low. I could've sworn that base option rear wheel drive TBSS's could be had for $24k new.
Most guys that drag race them though want one exactly like that. Rear wheel drives are better at the strip, and the lack of features cuts out a decent amount of weight, since there's no leather, power seat motors, heated seats, and so on.
Mine's a daily driver, so I'm very happy Drew originally bought one with all of the bells and whistles :)

I was planning on going to do some test drives and visit some dealerships, but with this weather i have decided there is no point in to start driving it in this kind of weather when i have my truck with brand new off road tires that i can finish getting the use out of..

Seems like the 2wd are thousands cheaper.

Was just wondering what was going on, havent heard anything in a while. Tblazers are better than the gto in my opinion. And the 2wd SS wouldnt be a bad thing. Lightr, better fuel econ, faster, and cheaper. Thats the platform everybody builds on anyway, if you were going to do any upgrading.

Have to disagree with you there, lol. Unless the only concern is straight line acceleration, where stock for stock, the TBSS is still slower ;)

Yea i am taking my time and made up my mind to keep my truck so the 2wd are starting to catch my eye since awd is not needed and it wont be driven in the winter anyways.
I had a 07 Red jewel for 17k out the door with 13k miles on it, but said i wanted to think about it, the next day while i was in work they sold it.

For the price of them, it has put me into the market of a G8. I have seen a very few go under 20k and until my dirtbike sells that all the more comfortable i am willing to go, but since its summer out and i have had my buell out on nice days i just take the time and look and look and not rush into something that i dont really want

G8 GT's are real nice, and a very rare car. I test drove one on a GM Performance track out at Carlisle two years ago and was very impressed with the ride comfort, decent power, quality, and handling for a 4,000 pound car...and that was a car that 100's of people were hammering on for about 10 hours straight. I seriously considered buying one for a daily driver before I decided to buy 2010 SS's TBSS instead. I'm very happy with the decision I made :)
The G8's have a few common problems from what I've read:
- Very thin and weak clearcoat, so rock chips are very easy just like the GTO, afterall, both cars come from Holden in Australia.
- Some have lifters that tick, but I think that's common with most GM engines, lol
- Some have hard shifting, but the dealership could probably reprogram that.
Check out g8board.com if you haven't yet...lots of good information on there.
Edit: I would love to have a G8 GXP someday...very rare, 6 speed manual, LS3, huge brakes, more aggressive front and rear bumpers, awesome wheels, better seats, and better suspension...drool. Throw a TVS supercharger on it and you would have an AMG/M5/CTS-V killer for $20k less :) I need to win the lottery.

yea.. the g8s are nice, but i still have my heart set on a trailblazer SS so when i trailer my Buell somewhere i dont have to take my rusty f150, i could cruise in the TB SS in style, and have room enough for the lady and son and all the luggage

well, after working on my truck today, i found a few things that im not liking too much that i am going to have to fix/replace that i just dont have time to do with this being my only vehicle, but will be fixing the stuff and using it for the winter.
So i am going to now start getting serious on this, this week.. I am hoping in the month of April i will be cruising in something.. The list
1. Trailblazer SS
2. 04-06 GTO
3. G8
4. 99-02 Camaro
Its really going to be either 1 or 2, but if i find an AWESOME deal on 3 or 4 i will jump on it, like a 50k mile SS for 6k or a new G8 for 15k haha..
