Sounds like I have a throw out bearing issue. It squeels like a belt slipping untill I put a little pressure on the clutch( not very loud) Is this a issue that needs taken care of before I drive it to carlisle, or should I replace it now?? Thanks!

for what little time it takes to replace it,i'd do it before you go. plus this way you dont have that noise up at carlisle.

that is the throw out for sure, I have seen them make noise for years, but on the other hand I have seen them start to sqeek one day and go out the next... you can try t ospray a little white litheum grease on it, but you have to be very very careful not to get any lube on the clutch...

I had my TOB go out on me at a red light next to a CTS-V with a hot chick in it... very embarrassing. Squealed horribly, ended up driving it home without using the clutch other than stopping or starting. Needless to say I rolled through a few stop signs lol

This is a great excuse for putting in a nice clutch though!

an upgraded clutch is a good idea but...

if funds are low you dont even have to pull the bell off to change the TOB.

I'd change it for peace of mind....plus you lose the risk of it going out completly where hot chicks can see. :)

I had my TOB squeak. Sounds like a bird chirping constantly till you put the clutch in. It just stopped all of sudden one day and hasnt come back.

This is excatly what it is doing, it has maybe 300 miles on it. I replaced it when I had the motor out last year.
