You can buy the passenger side fitting from Ford and use it for the driver's, take a trip to Lowes for a few fittings and get some heater hose and do it very easy. IMO the "kits" out there are WAY overpriced. I did the one on my 03 Cobra this way for about $50.

When we did Ed's he had already pulled the tranny and had the car on a lift. It would be pretty tough to do that mod on jackstands.

No, the Driver's head has no exit for the hot coolant out the back side of the head and over time can lead to damage of the head otherwise known in the 03/04 Cobra world as the "Head Tick".

Only way is to do some sort of mod to allow coolant to exit the back of the head and recirculate through the radiator. Only special part needed is the fitting to put in place of the freeze plug you have to remove from the head.

i seee.....weird that those design flaws were never officially recognized by ford...you'd think they would do somethin about it..
