Today I was announced as the new strength and conditioning coach for Serra Catholic High School's football program. My football playing career was cut short due to a back injury, so I decided to try and get into the coaching end of things. Fortunately things worked out, and I'll be running all aspects of their off season conditioning. needless to say I'm excited about the opportunity to start coaching at such a young age.

Congrat's Mike! I coached girls soccer for 11 years. It's alot of fun. I was going to send you a PM telling you that Lowes of Greensburg is hiring 30 people for Temp part time work, but it seems you will be busy this summer! LOL

haha no man i was one of the kids who wanted to play but i couldnt because i didnt know i had scoliosis and when i took a hit during this one game in 8th grade my left leg got all of the sudden shorter than my right and my doc advised against me playing again... i mean if i would have been on a winning team then hell yes i woulda played but hempfield football is a bit of a joke... dont know if you are from the area i am.. but our teams best record in the past 8 years was like 3-8 (one of the wins was against a AAA team that was just an exhibition game realistically) so in the division 2-8. IMO not worth it to have a jacked up spine the rest of my life... i am sure you can understand that. and i didn't mean harm by what i said.. just funny myan

Congrats Mike! That's great news!! Looks like I'm still out of work, I didn't get the job I was trying for. I just found out this evening in an email. I'm calling them tomarrow though because I applied for another position with them as well. I'll be suprised if I get it, it's too good of an oppertunity for me.
