Race Throttle Body

Whats the difference between a race only throttle body and a normal one?

the race ones start out larger and then funnel down to the size of the TB.

I just bought an 80mm bbk race one. So like the openning is larger on the piping end?

Thats how its is on my accufab. Its 90mm at the inlet and funnels down to 75mm. Im not sure about BBK I didn't know they made a race TB
