Personally, I want to get the rear main fixed on my Laser, get it to PRP more than once, and run something deep in to 13's, maybe a high 12, if I get my new cams, and better exhaust manifold, I cock my head to the left a little, and the stars align juuuuuuuuust right.
What do you guys want to see in the 1320 this year?

I hope so, that time was on stock injectors/pump and a 133k mile transmission that hated to go into 2nd at anything over 3500rpm, so I proceeded to look like an $$$ on the strip, after a crappy (1.98) 60' I miss 2nd gear by about a country mile and nail the limiter.... twice... So i know it has plenty more in it. It is just a matter of whether I can do it LOL.

I dont think you'll have a problem meeting your goal Mush. You might need a better set of tires.

I have heard nothing but good things about the Mickey Thompson ET STREET (radials) and ET DRAG tires (slicks). I have also heard good things about the Hoosier QTP's as well.

most wheel's work fine with bullit/mach/cobra rear brakes, but once you settle on a style of wheel, best to either ask around specifically about that style or just order 1 & test fit it BEFORE you mount a tire on it. is the car a stick or auto?

I'm looking for the same thing but plan on running the Hoosier QTP DOT drag tires.
If I'm lucky I hope to get the land barge Lincoln in the 12s this year.

better off on m/t's, QTP's have been hit or miss at PRP. good luck on 12's though.

I dunno, I have a pair of Mickey Thompson ET Street Drag Radials and I am not impressed with them. But I assume you're not talking drag radials?
The only problem I've had with the QTPs is they don't last long (or maybe they'd last longer if I didn't do such nasty burnouts). If I remember correctly, the Hoosiers are lighter than the MT's.

no, I was talking about bias ply m/t's. the QTP's are indeed very light, a few guy's tried them last year with mixed results & most are going back to m/t this year. kinda suprising you'd be having problems with an auto at that power level on m/t d/r's though, I guess the mkviii susp must not help much.

yeah, I wasn't shure but I was talking to Tim about your car today & he was telling me about the swap. something else to consider is swapping to gt rear brakes & all your wheel fitment problems will be solved.

Glen (mustang50lx) is the one to talk to about QTP's, he's one of the ones who ran 'em last year.

Goals...main goal is to enjoy the nice weather when there isn't 20" of snow on the ground and the temperature is above 14. :D Beyond that, I'd like to see my Monte Carlo do 13.5 or better. Last years goal was a 13.99 or better for the Regal, which I managed a few times.
